This will allow for more money to be put into both Bannerlord and BCoF respectively and help in the development and advertising of both and I'm pretty sure extra money is always welcome in game development."
Not to mention, a new update will cause more sales as a result and renew interest in the game which leads to more sales, thus making a circle of profit and additional profits for TW and FSE. It would be going to be released to an external developer of the main company so it's not falling into random people's hands. If those reasons weren't enough to convince you, here are a few quotes I found when going through the forums, i feel they explain it perfectly.
If Taleworlds are reluctant because of the risks involved, i think it would be pretty simple to get some form of legal contract drawn up that states what FSE can and can't do with the code Allowing them to go one step further and overhaul the expansion is beneficial for all parties involved.
To be clear this Petition is requesting Taleworlds Interactive to release the Source code to FSE, not public I understand the major negative impact of releasing the source code publically and would agree with the decision not to do that, but releasing it to Flying Squirrel Entertainment is significantly different, they are a legitimate organisation who has already done wonders for Mount and Blade as a whole. If we convince Taleworlds to release the code, not only will be reviving the community we all know and love, but will also be supporting Battle Cry of Freedom and Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord, because as NW gets an update, it will increase sales of both the base game and the downloadable content pumping money into both developers and assisting in sales.
The vast majority of people feel the same way because of this i feel it is our duty as the players to make sure that this game gets the revival it so dearly needs. If Taleworlds were to release the code, FSE has stated that they would be able to vastly improve the game, which would in turn breath new life into a near dead community! Honestly, NW takes up a big part of my life, and through it I've made some great friendships and I know I'm not the only one.
